Guidelines for Completing Homework Assignments
- Math homework is given almost every night.
- Copy the assignment into your planner before you leave class. Use the classroom assignment calendar, the daily Homework Hotline (837-5721) or this website to confirm homework assignments.
- Homework must be completed in pencil in your math spiral. Clearly label assignments with problem numbers.
- You must show your work for each problem. Answers only will not be accepted.
- Explanations, when required, should be in complete sentences.
- After homework is completed, answers should be checked against solutions posted on my website. If you make an error, redo the problem correctly in pen.
- You should attempt every homework problem, even if you cannot reach a solution. Write down what you do know, see how far you can get, and check your answers. Make a note of problems you wish to discuss in class the following day.
- Periodic Homework Quizzes will hold students accountable for completing and checking their homework assignments.
- Handouts or other loose papers should be clearly labeled with your full name and class period.
- Neatness counts! Many math errors can be avoided by doing neat work.
